First Expert Day in the New Year at Porzellanikon Hohenberg a.d. Eger!

Porcelain collectors and those interested in porcelain will have something to look forward to right away in January: on Thursday, 19 January 2023, the first edition of the Expert Day at Porzellanikon - Staatliches Museum für Porzellan, Hohenberg a.d. Eger, will get underway again. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the curator duo will once again be on hand to share their expertise on porcelain from Germany and all the renowned European manufactories with visitors from near and far. Interested visitors can bring up to three porcelain objects and have them examined. (Almost) no information about origin, edition size or year of origin will remain hidden. In an entertaining way, the experts will tell you everything there is to say about the heirlooms or favourite pieces, curiosities or collectors' items you have brought along. After just a few moments, the owners will find out whether their porcelain is a true treasure or a lovable junk. To shorten any waiting time, a tour of the permanent exhibition on the cultural history of porcelain in German-speaking countries from the 18th century to 1989 is a good idea. Coffee and cake as well as hearty snacks will be offered for the small appetite.
The next expert days will take place on 20.04., 03.08. and 19.10.2023. Sufficient parking spaces are available. Price: museum admission; registration at besucher-center@porzellanikon.org or tel. +49 9287-918000.
Address: Schirndinger Straße 48, 95691 Hohenberg a.d. Eger.
