Curator Thomas Miltschus will take you on a tour of the special features of Porzellanikon Hohenberg. Why does a coffee pot look like a strawberry plant? Hippies made of porcelain? A monkey in a china shop? There is actually nothing that does not exist and that is made of white gold! Let yourself be surprised by other things exhibited at Hohenberg and be inspired by the stories behind them. At the coffee/tea table afterwards, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with each other and with the curator in a relaxed...
Our experts will take a closer look at your heirlooms, memorabilia or favourite porcelain items during the already legendary Expert Days. Up to 3 exhibits per visitor can be examined by the museum's expert team. (Almost) no information about the origin, number of copies or year of production remains hidden. A good opportunity to browse the furthest corners and nooks of attics and cellars.For the small appetite coffee and cake as well as hearty snacks are sold.Price: museum entrance fee
Keramika od hlavy až k patě - každý z nás má zvláštní vlastnosti. Nikdo není jako druhý. Jak se ale vytvoříte miniaturně z keramické hmoty? We make the big decisions of a designer! The participants* are only given one unfired vase as a basic form. With gears, cutlery, cords, stamps, beads and other fancy tools we add fine details to the surface. With sketches and tests on modelling clay, a pattern can be created which is then embossed onto the vase. In this way, each shape becomes an unmistakable memento. Broken porcelain does not belong in the trash, because "Make new from old" is the motto in the museum. Imaginative figures can be made from broken pieces, preferably colourfully decorated.
