Am Freitag, 1. Juli 2022 um 18:00 Uhr eröffnet die Studioausstellung von Keramikerin Angelika Krauß im Porzellanikon Hohenberg. Die Eröffnung ist öffentlich – alle Interessierten sind herzlich willkommen.2021 hat die Porzellankünstlerin aus Velden (bei Pegnitz) beim ersten Porzellanmarkt in Hohenberg den Preis der Jury erhalten und zeigt nun in einer Studioausstellung ausgewählte Porzellanstücke ihres vielfältigen Repertoires. Filigranes aus Porzellan wie Vasen, Schalen und Kunstobjekte zeigt die Designerin ebenso wie hauchdünne Beleuchtungsgegenstände aus unglasiertem Porzellan. Zum 40-jährigen Jubiläum des Porzellanikon – Staatliches Museum für Porzellan, sind unterschiedliche Veranstaltungen geplant. Ein Highlight bildet eine Vortragsreihe zur Entstehung und Geschichte des Porzellanikon, zur Entwicklung der Porzellanindustrie in Oberfranken sowie zu bedeutenden Persönlichkeiten der Porzellanindustrie der Region. Den Auftakt macht Wilhelm Siemen, Gründungsdirektor des Porzellanikon am Donnerstag, den 30. Juni 2022, um 19:00 Uhr, im Porzellanikon in Hohenberg a.d. Eger. Wer gemeinsam mit der Familie etwas unternehmen möchte, ist im Porzellanikon – Staatliches Museum für Porzellan, Selb, gut aufgehoben! Am Sonntag, den 19. Juni 2022, um 14:30 Uhr findet ein Familiennachmittag unter dem Motto „Scherbenbasteln“ statt. Bei dieser Veranstaltungen können sich die kleinen und großen Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer künstlerisch betätigen und aus kaputtem Porzellan fantasievolle Gestalten basteln. Bastelutensilien und Malfarben stehen zur Verfügung, um den kreativen Exponaten einen schönen bunten und ganz besonderen Ausdruck zu verleihen. Unter dem Motto „Selbling-City“ bietet das Porzellanikon – Staatliches Museum für Porzellan, Selb für Schulkinder ab 6 Jahren ein kreatives Ferienprogramm an.  Am Dienstag, den 7. Juni 2022 können sich die Schülerinnen und Schüler von 10:00 bis 12:30 Uhr als Baumeister betätigen und den Maskottchen des Porzellanikon, den Selblingen, eine neue Heimatstadt aus Lego-Steinen bauen. Anregungen zur Stadtplanung finden die Ferienkinder bei einem Rundgang durch die Sonderausstellung „More than Bricks! Tradition und Zukunft der Architekturkeramik“, die bis zum 3. Porcelain enthusiasts and porcelain collectors can look forward to the popular Expert Day at Porzellanikon - Staatliches Museum für Porzellan, Hohenberg a.d. Eger, on Thursday, 12 May 2022. Visitors from near and far can bring up to three porcelain objects to the expert day and have them examined from 10:00 to 17:00 for provenance, edition size, technical elaboration or year of origin. To shorten possible waiting times, a tour of the new special exhibition "UNIKATE erzählen. Artistic Meissen 1970 - 2010", which can be seen until 8 January 2023. Museum director Anna Dziwetzki and the heads of department and curators presented projects, events and programmes for 2022: NEW SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS "MORE THAN BRICKS! Tradition and Future of Architectural Ceramics" from 20 March to 3 October 2022, Selb. Das Porzellanikon – Staatliches Museum für Porzellan hat am Faschingsdienstag, den 1. März 2022 an beiden Standorten in Selb und Hohenberg a.d. Eger geschlossen. Ab Mittwoch, den 2. März 2022 sind beide Museen wieder in gewohnter Weise von 10:00 bis 17:00 Uhr für Besucherinnen und Besucher geöffnet. Es gilt die 3G-Regelung. Kinder als auch Schüler, diese jedoch unter Vorlage eines Schülerausweises, bis zum vollendeten 18. Lebensjahr gelten als getestet. Am Freitag, den 18. Februar 2022, um 10:00 Uhr, kamen Keramiker:Innen im Porzellanikon – Staatliches Museum für Porzellan, Selb, zusammen. Es war das dritte Keramikertreffen im Rahmen des EU-Projektes CerDee (Creative entrepreneurship in ceramic regions - developing, educating, encouraging). Ziel des Treffens war es, sich fortzubilden und fachlich auszutauschen. Dazu wurden zwei Workshops in den Räumen der Kreativ-Fabrik des Museums angeboten. Christoph Uhlig, Technikvermittler des Porzellanikon referierte über den 3D-Druck. "Full steam ahead! Experimenting with steam" - that's the title of this year's first Researchers' Afternoon, which will take place on Sunday, 30 January 2022. From 2:30 p.m., there will be a lot of hissing and noise behind the old factory walls of Porzellanikon - Staatliches Museum für Porzellan, at the Selb site, as people experiment with steam power. Kleine und große BesucherInnen können gemeinsam die Entscheidungen eines Gestalters treffen! Den TeilnehmerInnen ist nur eine noch ungebrannte Vase als Grundform vorgegeben. Eger. For its visitors, the museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00 on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Both museums are closed on 24 December and 31 December 2021.
