HANDGEMACHT - Meeting place for design, art & culinary at Porzellanikon Selb on June 5 and 6, 2022.

It's that time again! On Pentecost Sunday and Monday, the Porzellanikon - State Museum of Porcelain, Selb opens its doors for the fifth time from 11:00 to 18:00 for the now nationally known and popular major event "HANDGEMACHT - a meeting place for design, art and culinary". "Finally, we can come together again under the open sky, feast, celebrate and enjoy the Whitsun weekend at Porzellanikon!", Anna Willeke, Head of Events and Tourism, is pleased to announce. To relax and linger, 18 food trucks will offer culinary highlights on the museum's fairground: On the menu are Hawaiian superfood á la Island-Style, delicacies from Thailand, fish specialties from the region or hearty from the wok - to name just a few. The event will of course be accompanied by music on both days: There are hot rock & roll rhythms on 05.06. from the Honkytones; Suzan Baker enchants the audience on 06.06. with a repertoire of rock & pop.

Regional exhibitors and artisans will present their exclusively self-made works on the museum grounds. Visitors can buy, for example, decorations made of metal, creative jewelry for him and her made of silver and Murano glass, decorative woodturning or imaginative paper works such as greeting cards and much more.

Outside, there will be a varied program for tinkerers, hobbyists and hobby artists. Visitors young and old can research, experiment and create at various stations. At the upcycling station, for example, artistic objects will be created from discarded materials. "Two days of tinkering, tinkering and having fun in the fresh air! I'm really looking forward to the creative and crazy ideas of all the little and big artists and researchers!" says Christoph Uhlig, technology educator at the museum. Those of the little guests who prefer to have fun can let off steam on the bouncy castle.

The entrance fee is 2,-- Euro.
