Eger through the exhibition "Luxury, Wellness, Porcelain - A Day at the Bohemian Spa". The tour looks back at the daily routine of 19th century spa guests. On the occasion of the current special exhibition "Luxury, Wellness, Porcelain - A Day at the Bohemian Spa", Porzellanikon - State Museum of Porcelain, Hohenberg a.d. Eger is organising a cultural coffee on Wednesday, 10 May 2023. Since 1 April 2023, Porzellanikon - State Museum of Porcelain has been attracting many guests to Hohenberg a.d. Eger with its new special exhibition "Luxury, Wellness, Porcelain - A Day at the Bohemian Spa". The exhibition is Porzellanikon's contribution to the Bavarian-Czech Friendship Weeks and a joint project with the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague (Uměleckoprůmyslové museum v Praze) and the Museum of West Bohemia in Pilsen (Západočeské muzeum v Plzni). For the first time in Germany, 19th century Bohemian porcelain is being presented in a monographic exhibition. The aim of the special show at Porzellanikon Hohenberg is to demonstrate the unique quality of the porcelain produced by Bohemian manufacturers. Until now, porcelain from Bohemia has had a reputation for being cheap, ordinary and mass-produced.
