The second porcelain market will take place at Porzellanikon Hohenberg a. d. Eger on 23 and 24 July 2022, from 10:00 to 17:00. 16 porcelain makers from Germany, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic will offer porcelain objects of all kinds in the garden and the museum rooms - admission is free. The second edition of the porcelain market in Hohenberg, which was launched in 2021, offers a diverse range of products: The artists will offer unique artistic pieces and small series, tasteful tableware and decorative items as well as unusual jewellery. The exhibitors were selected by a jury of experts from the fields of art, design and teaching. The pieces on offer bear the individual handwriting of their creators and cover a fascinating range in design and craftsmanship.

The porcelain market will be accompanied by a supporting programme: Visitors can use their artistic skills creatively in porcelain painting and see for themselves how porcelain pieces are cast. A quiz for young and old rounds off the event. The Förderverein Porzellanikon e. V. will provide refreshments for the guests.

Emerged from the EU project "CerDee".

"Last year, we developed the Porcelain Market format to provide a forum for young porcelain designers and porcelain artists," explains museum director Anna Dziwetzki. The event was also part of the EU project "CerDee" (Creative entrepreneurship in ceramic regions - developing, educating, encouraging), in which Porzellanikon was the lead partner. Planned as an annual event, the success in 2021 has encouraged the planning for 2022.
