Hohenberg a.d. Eger

First expert day in the new year

Porcelain enthusiasts and collectors can look forward to the first expert day in the new year on Thursday, 27 January 2022, when Porzellanikon - Staatliches Museum für Porzellan in Hohenberg a.d. Eger opens its doors. Visitors from near and far can bring up to three porcelain objects each to the expert day. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., chief curator Petra Werner and curator Thomas Miltschus, Porzellanikon's porcelain experts, will be on hand to share their expertise on porcelain from Germany and all the renowned European manufactories. In an entertaining way, they will tell you everything there is to say about the heirlooms or favourite pieces, curiosities or collectors' items that you have brought with you. After just a few moments, the owners will find out whether their porcelain is a real treasure or a lovable junk. To shorten any waiting time, it is worth taking a look at the permanent exhibition.

The expert day costs 3.00 euros per person (museum admission). Registration is required at besuchercenter(at)porzellanikon.org or by phone on +49 9287-918000. Further information is available at www.porzellanikon.org. The 2G plus rule applies. Corona quick tests are available at the museum box office for a fee of 4.50 euros.
