Curator's tour of the special exhibition "FORMVOLLENDET - Keramikdesign von Hans-Wilhelm Seitz.

"Daily", "Carat" and "Cucina" - these are the names of some of the numerous design classics created by Hans-Wilhelm Seitz. Many people from the region use these dishes every day without knowing that the designer practically lives and works in the neighbourhood. On the occasion of the special exhibition "FORMVOLLENDET - Keramikdesign von Hans-Wilhelm Seitz", which can be seen until 9 January 2022, there will be a curator's tour at Porzellanikon - Staatliches Museum für Porzellan, Hohenberg an der Eger, on Sunday, 26 September 2021. At 2:30 p.m., the main curator Petra Werner, who has a great deal of expertise in the history of design and can tell you interesting facts about the artist, will take visitors on a tour of the show. They get an insight into the work of the German ceramics designer, whose ideas for porcelain and ceramics have been travelling the world for almost 45 years from a small studio in Marktredwitz. His household and hotel tableware is used by millions - "daily". This daily use, coupled with soft lines, perfect proportions and pure elegance, is the objective to which Hans-Wilhelm Seitz has dedicated himself. But the designer does not only show his skills for the table: Since 1996, he has been successfully designing roof ceramics for Erlus AG in Neufahrn, Lower Bavaria. With the help of the exhibition catalogue, the designer's elegant designs can be admired at home for a long time to come. The price is € 1.00 Sunday admission plus € 3.50 for the guided tour.
Registration at besuchercenter(at)porzellanikon.org. or phone +49 9287 918000 is required. Further information at www.porzellanikon.org.

The curator's tour is an event in cooperation with the European Route of Ceramics.
