Lecture series to mark the anniversary: Success without end - The porcelain industry of Upper Franconia until 1914

Dr. Arnd Kluge, municipal archivist of the city of Hof, reports on the history of Upper Franconian porcelain up to 1914: After a slow start, the porcelain industry expanded here from the end of the 18th century. One generation after Carl Magnus Hutschenreuther, who had started porcelain production in 1820, the "boom" also began in the eastern part of Upper Franconia. The boom continued uninterrupted until 1914 and laid the foundation for the Upper Franconian porcelain industry up to the present day.
