Porzellanikon for Families

Porzellanikon has exciting family programmes for the curious, adventurers and explorers ages 0-99.

Family afternoons
Our “family afternoon” is every third Sunday of the month from 2:30 pm to 5 pm! On these days we offer an exciting guided tour through the special or permanent exhibition. This is followed by a creative activity where both young and old get to make their very own work of art with porcelain.

Take a look at our Quarterly Flyer for upcoming dates.

Festivities and events
We organize festivities throughout the year where families are always welcome: Our annual “Besenbrennen” (“Walpurgis Night” to drive out the cold winter), “Maifest” (“May Festival”) at the factory on May 1, International Museum Day, “Museumsfest” (“Museum Festival”) and “Tag des offenen Denkmals” (“Heritage Day”) are just some of the highlights on our events calendar that are worth visiting.

Individual guided tours

For larger family groups we offer individual, interactive programmes that are fun and entertaining for children and adults alike. We take you on a personal guided tour of our museum, focusing on the themes that interest you most. The tour is followed by a creative activity in which every family member gets to make their own souvenir to remember this exciting day.

Cost: €35 per guided tour plus material costs and entrance fee
